Unreal, it's been so long since I actually read this. I'm also surprised that I never really marked this read or even rated it. Like the many dozen or so books that I've read but never marked read, this is one of them. My sincerest apologises.
Regardless, this was a very interesting and unique read for me. While it does bring on the creepastic factors, I felt it was perhaps being "too unique" to the point where I felt that it was a struggle to stay in the book. At least that's what I remember. But it really did hook me at some point, I think at maybe 25%? 50%? But that might have been pacing problems for me, wording-wise (some parts I think felt flat to me...but that might be a matter of like) and I really wanted to get to the good stuff lol.
Still this definitely warrants reading the sequel, which I have yet to get... *le sigh*
