Coupled with the language of utter gibberish, we meet Viola Eade and the life she leads prior to the events that unfold in The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. Now I've read The Monster Calls also by Patrick Ness and was just mesmerized and I've heard good things about this series so its time for me to become invested. And boy this prequel really left me wanting more. I want to know what has happened to the planet upon abandoning it due to pollution, and what kind of craziness I keep hearing about regarding the series in all.
Viola's voice was nice, but it makes me wonder how old is she really? Did her age get mentioned at all? Because to me she sounds like a young girl that will mature drastically as the world around her becomes cruel. I'm looking forward to her character development in the books. And meeting Todd from what I gather.
All in all, I liked how it flowed nicely, it wasn't choppy. And the tone fit the mood.
Looking forward to starting the first book when I get my hands on it! :'D
