The Shadow of the Wind

The Shadow of the Wind - Lucia Graves, Carlos Ruiz Zafón “Every book, every volume you see here, has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it. Every time a book changes hands, every time someone runs his eyes down its pages, its spirit grows and strengthens.”

5 stars.

The chills I've gotten while reading this book as I read in complete awe and wonder of all these descriptions regarding books and the actual place where all books become lost and forgotten only to be found again. It's been a while, and I still remember. I plan to reread this at some point because it is one of the very few 'adult' books that I love. Yes, I'm an odd one in that respect.

Now that I know this is a series, I shall be tracking the other two down in due time.

“A story is a letter that the author writes to himself, to tell himself things that he would be unable to discover otherwise.”
